JoAnn Trach Tongson of Mahan Rykiel headed the planning committee for the B’more Stormwater Tour and Panel Discussion, which highlighted low-impact development practices in Baltimore City and sought discussion relative to design, construction, maintenance, and trends; the event was sponsored by the MD Chapter of ASLA and the Chesapeake Bay Chapter of the ASCE Environmental & Water Resources Institute and attended by over 60 professionals.

MRA part of HKS team for Children’s Hospital of Richmond

Mahan Rykiel designed the exterior spaces for this new children’s hospital. The “Sky Terrace” features interactive elements such as musical chimes for the kids to play with during their visit to the hospital.

Social Impact Studio to Participate in Parking Day

Mahan Rykiel, collaborating with two architectural firms and local businesses, is creating an open space for visitors to engage in interactive public art, enjoy music and food from local vendors. This is MRA’s sixth year participating in Parking Day, a worldwide, grassroots movement to call attention to the need for more urban public space.
