Founded in Baltimore over 38 years ago by Catherine Mahan, Mahan Rykiel has a tradition of elevating women and promoting diversity in the workplace and the profession of landscape architecture, urban design, and planning. Different backgrounds, ideas and culture have been a key factor of MRA’s success and has provided an edge when tackling issues of community identity, economic development, and ecological stewardship.
