The Inn at Virginia Tech is a premier conference center, hotel and ballroom facility sited on an existing 18-hole golf course in southwestern Virginia. The landscape architecture complements the Gothic style architecture of the overall campus and is designed to recall the character of an elegant country retreat. This character has been achieved by:
• Maximizing views to the adjacent golf
course
• Screening the 4-lane roadway
• Creating a variety of spaces that emphasize leisure and hospitality

The tree-lined entry boulevard allows glimpses of the building and the golf course, and the winding road ensures slow driving speeds and a relaxed entrance to the facility. The building was sited to preserve mature existing trees at the front circle and at the wings of the building.
