Mahan Rykiel Associates has been collaboratively working with the project Master Plan Architect on developing and designing the streetscape and open space for a new high density mixed use urban neighborhood within the Merriweather-Symphony Woods Neighborhood in Downtown Columbia.
The Neighborhood Square is designed to function as the heart and center of the Chevy Chase Lake development. Its open space and edges accommodate both daily uses such as outdoor dining and casual seating to programmed functions like concerts in the park, seasonal markets and festivals.
This dynamic mixed-use project in Bellevue’s Factoria I zone features a five-story building, replacing a surface parking lot. It revitalizes the pedestrian experience with ground-level retail and housing and includes structured parking for residents.
