Saba Hamidi leads the graphic communication efforts at Mahan Rykiel, leveraging her strong visual communication skills and a lifelong commitment to the creative arts to effectively share ideas. With a human-centered approach, her expertise lies in driving an idea from conceptualization to implementation through storytelling, installations, exhibits, digital graphics, and print collateral.
Saba joined Mahan Rykiel in March of 2012, after some time as a project manager at the Neighborhood Design Center and a graphic designer at Carvalho+Good, LLC. Prior to this, she graduated with a bachelor of landscape architecture from the University of Maryland, College Park, in 2010. While at UMD, Saba was the recipient of the 2011 University Olmsted Scholar award from the Landscape Architecture Foundation, the 2011 Landscape Architecture Award of Excellence from the University of Maryland, and the December 2010 commencement speaker at UMD’s College of Agriculture & Natural Resources. Before graduating, Saba spent a summer studying abroad at the Monteverde Institute in Costa Rica, where she developed much of her passion for environmental and sustainable design practices.
