MRA is excited to welcome Lara Garcia to our team.
Lara Garcia has a broad architectural and urban design background, having earned a bachelor’s degree in Architecture and Urban Planning from the University of Brasília, Brazil. She was granted a scholarship to study architectural design at Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore (MD) during her undergraduate degree. She is soon to finish a master’s in landscape architecture from Penn State University. Lara has recently attained a Graduate Certificate in Geodesign and collaborated with Esri as a local government services consulting intern for two terms. In 2021, she was nominated one of the Landscape Architecture Foundation’s Olmsted Scholars and received ASLA Delaware and Pennsylvania chapter student honor awards. Her dedication is advancing equity by combining creative thinking, geospatial technology, and human-driven urban policies.
Lara is passionate about volunteer work, traveling, photography, and studying public life.
